Tallahassee is the capitol of Florida in Leon County and is located the panhandle of Northwest Florida. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the estimated population of Tallahassee in 2004 was 156,512.

The climate in Tallahassee resembles the same characteristics as the rest of the state, a mild moist climate and subtropical summers. However the difference between the panhandle and the peninsula, of which Tallahassee is a part, experiences four seasons.
